Voice Clarity and charging port issues
|
| Review Date: August 15, 2010 |
| Reviewer: Ceinwyn, Jamestown, RI United States |
This was given to me as a Christmas gift, the price point and the reviews made it seem like a good choice, I used it for 7 months.
Pros: synced up with phone easily, easy to turn on and off and volume adjustment nicely located.
Cons: As mentioned in other reviews, although I could hear people clearly, they could not hear me, even though it was right above me on my visor. Charging, after a while it was difficult to get it to charge, I tried different cables, using the AC in the house everything. It uses a mini-usb port, eventually the mini-usb port broke off inside so now it's in the trash. Needless to say I won't be buying another one of these. |

| I bought one for my wife. . .she liked it. . .so I bought one for myself. It's as good or better than the bluetooth earpiece I was using before. The charge lasts an entire week, but I don't use it a lot. The sound is quite clear and it is very convenient to have this on the visor. A good product. . .and a good price. |
Not good with iPhone?

I read reviews on many Bluetooth devices and decided on this one based on the overall positive ratings. Well, I either received a defective unit, or it's horrible with the iPhone.
I can hear people ok. On quiet roads or newly paved highways they sound great. On I5 in Washington I have trouble hearing people due to the road noise, even at the highest volume. So for my side of the sound, this gets 3 stars.
On the other end, people are constantly saying they cannot understand me. Using the headset supplied with an iPhone, people can hear me fine. But with this unit I've heard that people can't hear me at all (I even tried yelling), I sound metallic/robotic, I sound tinny, etc. So for audio out quality, this gets 1 star.
Average of 2 stars. Could have received a defective unit, but I've never had luck with Jabra. |

| I bought this product after reading all of the positive reviews online; and I have to say I am pleased with my purchase. I bought 2 of these (one for me and one for my dad) and this product is very easy to use for anyone. The buttons are large enough so that you don't have to take your eyes off the road to see what you are doing, and the call volume is loud enough to hear well in the car. This is not very fancy, but if you are looking for a user-friendly basic device; I suggest you purchase this. |
